Top 10 Republican Racists

You couldn’t imagine the effort it took to narrow this list down to just ten Republicans! Though, I must say, finding the information for this blog was rather easy as there is an overwhelming amount of resources available. I guess that’s just what happens when literally almost every candidate from a political party is blatantly racist. I have scaled the politicians from spot 10, pretty racist, to spot 1, really really racist.

Rick Santorum

The former PA Senator used a pretty racist slogan for his 2012 presidential campaign, “Take Back America.” He doesn’t specify from whom, but some would suggest he means the first African American president. Rick Santorum, Tea Party enthusiast/ potential serial killer, once signed a pledge called “The Marriage Vow”. The pledge suggested that black families were stronger during slavery than they are under the first African American President. You know, the President he may or may not have called a “government n-word” while speaking to a crowd in Wisconsin.

"Slavery had a disastrous impact on African-American families, yet sadly a child born into slavery in 1860 was more likely to be raised by his mother and father in a two-parent household than was an African-American baby born after the election of the USA's first African-American President," reads the pledge.

I know this is hard to believe, but it actually gets worse. Santorum, while giving a stump speech talking about welfare in 2012, said,  “I don’t want to make black people's lives better by giving them somebody else's money.”

Cringe worthy.

Rick Perry

The former Texas Governor has repeatedly proven himself to be pretty racist, but his peak racism was achieved when the Washington Post published a story about his family’s ranch,”Niggerhead.” I feel like this one should be pretty obvious, but apparently Republicans don’t find it racist, so I guess do have to explain it. The n-word stems from the Latin adjective “niger” meaning black. We are all aware that this is probably the most disgraceful word in the English language and is used as a racial slur towards black people. Yet, Rick Perry, definitely knowing that and running for president, did not find any need to rename his family’s ranch.

What makes the name of the ranch even worse is that the town the ranch is in is a “sundown town” in Texas. This means that in addition to the obviously racist Jim Crow laws of the South, the town also literally and violently beat black Americans out of town. The name of the ranch, that was plastered in large letters on the front gate, was an obvious attempt of the Perry family to intimidate black Americans. No, Rick Perry did not name his family’s ranch, but he also didn’t rename it when he should have.

Though, we shouldn’t be surprised. This is the same guy who couldn’t confirm if President Obama’s birth certificate was real and was at the forefront of the birther movement in 2012. He is also the same guy who, while in the Rio Grande Valley, said “every Jose in town wants to come along and sue you for something.”

Sarah Palin

On Martin Luther King Day, sociopath and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin posted the following on her Facebook page:

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.

Mr. President, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and all who commit to ending any racial divide, no more playing the race card.”

You would assume Ms. Palin, who holds a degree in communications, would realize the devastating failure and racism of that post. She defended this post on Fox News where she called Obama lackadaisical… aka a lazy black man. She also repeatedly calls President Obama “boy” which is dog whistling back to the Jim Crow era where black men were referred to as “boy” to degrade them. She also accused President Obama of “shucking and jiving”, told a crowd of African Americans that they don’t know the meaning of slavery, defended Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson’s comment that black people were happier under Jim Crow, and used the n-word 11 times on her radio show.

I’m starting to think people don’t go to Alaska, not to avoid the cold, but to avoid Palin.

Representative Bachmann from Minnesota has a heart as cold as her state in winter. As another Tea Party neo-conservative, she buddied up with Santorum and signed the pledge that said black families were stronger during slavery. When people became outraged, she defended the pledge as if it were not a huge embarrassment to mankind.

But the reason why she ranks at number six on this list is because of her conspiracy theory against Huma Abedin, a political staffer and aid for Hillary Clinton. She accused Ms. Abedin of infiltrating the Department of State as a Muslim extremist and attempting to take down the government, solely because she is Muslim. The absurdity continued as she stood by her claims when almost everyone, even some fellow Tea Party psychos, realized the conspiracy was baseless. She called on the Attorney General Inspector General to investigate the influence Ms. Abedin has had on the government. Bachmann’s letter suggested that Ms. Abedin’s father (who died when she was a teenager), mother, and brother are “connected” to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Herman Cain

Let me just start by stating the obvious, Herman Cain is an African American. For some reason, he seems to be extremely racist against other African Americans. Cain has repeatedly said that the Democratic party has been “keeping African Americans on a plantation” and that black conservatives were “runaway slaves” who were uniquely positioned to “free” the minds of their black brothers and sisters. In fact, he went on record saying “only 30% of black people are speaking for themselves.” He also called the black voters who supported Obama, racist and bigoted. Okay...

He has also advocated for Muslim identification cards, argued that undocumented immigrants should be electrocuted at the US border, proposed an electric fence at the border, and routinely called for Muslims to be excluded from government because they are inherently treasonous.

Mike Huckabee

Former Arkansas Governor and profound Southern Baptist Mike Huckabee takes his racism to Twitter! During one of the first Democratic debates this year he unleashed the following tweets:

  • “I trust Bernie Sanders with my tax dollars like I trust a North Korean chef with my labrador!”

  • “Racism exists because we have a sin problem in America, not a skin problem.”

  • “Black lives matter because ALL lives matter. Haven’t we learned from history?”

He has continuously condemned Black Lives Matter, calling them tantrum throwers and saying their fight against racial injustice is ridiculous. He also said in a Fox News interview that racism was solved by God. But the main reason why Huckabee gets one of the top spots is because he defended Dylan Roof, the white supremacist 21 year-old who killed nine African Americans in a historically black church down in Charleston, SC.

Huckabee defended the OBVIOUS white supremacist by saying the only thing that could have stopped him was another guy with a gun. Yes, he really said that a domestic terrorist would have been able to have been stopped, not by being taught to not be racist terrorist, but by another person with a gun.

While defending the killer, he strongly advocated for the Confederate flag by claiming that it was not racist by any means, despite that the flag inspired Dylan Roof's massacre and he had it painted on the top of his car.

Mike Huckabee probably defended the terrorist because he has white supremacy ties of his own. The Council of Conservative Citizens, the white supremacist group that inspired Dylan Roof, funded Huckabee’s campaign for Arkansas Governor.

The CCC sounds awfully like the KKK, Mike.

Newt Gingrich

The former Representative and Speaker of the House from Georgia is certainly no peach. Explaining his history and laying out all the racist remarks he has ever said would take way too much time and space. Instead, allow me to list the most racist things he has done and said in a few bullet points:

  • During his 2012 presidential campaign, he wished to speak to the NAACP to tell them to demand paychecks and not food stamps.

  • Routinely calls Obama the “food stamp president”

  • Once said “poor kids lack a strong work ethic" and proposed having them work as janitors in their schools.

  • Stood under the Confederate flag on MLK day and bragged about putting a black protester “in his place.”

  • Wrote a speech in 1993 that said blacks and latinos don’t understand the key to future wealth, but asians do.

  • Obsessed with trying to make English the official language of America.

  • Once said Spanish was the language of “living in the ghetto.”

  • Once said Obama had a Kenyan anti-colonial worldview.

  • Doesn’t think ballots should come in any language other than English.

  • Said black people should work twice as hard, and poor black people should work three times as hard.

The list goes on, but Gingrich’s presidential campaign did not. We thank the gods for that everyday.

Peter King

Next is Peter King, the Representative from New York. Here is a list of things he has said and done to earn his spot at #3:

Seemingly without irony, when Speaker of the House John Boehner resigned because of political pressure, King said it was “a sign the crazies have taken over the party.” You mean it gets more crazy than you Representative King?!

Donald Trump

I know what you are thinking, “Why isn’t Donald Trump number one?”

Donald Trump is a psychopathic, bigoted, racist without question, but I don’t ever want him to be number one at anything. I don’t want him to take pride in winning even once, even if the contest being held is "who is the most racist."

So he will sit at number two on our he did in Iowa.

Anyway, if you have functioning eyes and ears I am sure you are all very aware of the absurd racist comments and proposals that have been coming out of Donald Trump’s mouth for the past eight months. What you may not have known is that Donald Trump actually broke the record for saying the most racist shit from the GOP in a SINGLE DAY.

Thanks to an article from Cafe, I will list the things JUST FROM ONE DAY:

  • Brought up his idea for registering Muslims in a database.

  • Suggested thousands of Muslims celebrated 9/11 and the destruction of the Twin Towers (didn’t happen).

  • Suggested a Black Lives Matter protester at his rally should have been “roughed up.”

  • Retweeted a graphic that falsely stated that black people are responsible for most murders of black and white people (he got this from the Crime Statistics Bureau, a thing that is not real).

  • Used false statistics that black people are unusually more violent than white people (got this fake data from a neo-Nazi).

That's just from a single day. He also called for the barring of ALL Muslims from entering the US, including refugees, until America “knows what's going on.” He has called Mexicans rapists, saying that Mexico only “sends over the bad ones”. He wishes to build a wall on the Mexican-American border to prevent immigration. He addressed the Republican Jewish Coalition and said “I’m a negotiator like you folks”. Calls the African American community “the blacks” who, by the way, also apparently have an inherent trait of laziness, according to Donald. He was the first person to claim President Obama was not American and was the creator of the birther movement. He actually publicly said he sent investigators to Hawaii to prove Obama’s birth certificate was real.

Recently, Donald Trump supporters at rallies have been assaulting and beating up basically anyone who isn’t white. Donald Trump is a white supremacist that sells fear to the uneducated and un-American voting population who are ruthlessly dedicated to whitewashing America.

Congratulations to the Republican party - this is your frontrunner. This is the person supposedly representative of your voting population. This is the monster that you have dedicated your entire party's existence to creating.

Ron Paul

I declare Senator Ron Paul the #1 most racist Republican because of his lack of shame for the absolutely horrifying things he says and does.

His racism first went viral for saying that he would have voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Act if he were in Congress at the time. Seriously, that’s almost a direct quote. He defended this statement by saying that the Civil Rights Act poses unfair rules on what private business owners can and can’t do on their property… such as denying black people service. In fact, he performs some absolutely insane mental gymnastics and blames the Patriot Act (BAD) on the passing of the Civil Rights Act (GOOD).

"If you try to improve relationships by forcing and telling people what they can't do, and you ignore and undermine the principles of liberty, then the government can come into our bedrooms," Paul told Candy Crowley on CNN's "State of the Union." "And that's exactly what has happened. Look at what's happened with the PATRIOT Act. They can come into our houses, our bedrooms our businesses ... And it was started back then."

Here are some actual quotes from his personal newsletter:

  • "Given the inefficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

  • "We are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational."

  • After the Los Angeles riots, one article in a newsletter claimed, "Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks."

  • One referred to Martin Luther King Jr. as "the world-class philanderer who beat up his paramours" and who "seduced underage girls and boys."

  • Another newsletter referred to Barbara Jordan, a civil rights activist and congresswoman as "Barbara Morondon," the "archetypical half-educated victimologist."

Also, he gave us his son Senator Rand Paul, who is also pretty racist in his own right. So thanks to this guy we have had two racist Paul’s in office which makes him the double whammy winner.

There ya have it folks, the top ten racist Republicans in modern politics, and ones who have held prominent positions in the US government and most of whom ran for President! I am going to go drink myself into oblivion now.
